Each voting delegate should complet~ and <br /> sign the following statement and RETURN IT TO THE ASSOCIATION OFFICE NO LATER <br /> TIIAN MONDAY, AUGUST 14. <br /> <br /> I, , hereby certify that I am the duly <br /> desk' voting delegate ~r County at the <br /> 71st Annual Conference of the North Carolina Association of County <br /> Commissioners. <br /> <br /> Signed: <br /> <br /> Title <br /> <br />Article VII of our Constitution provides: <br /> <br /> "On all questions, including the election b~'6ffice~-s, each county <br /> represented shall have one vote, which sha'i'~ be the majority ex- <br /> pression of the delegates of that connty. The vote of any county <br /> in good standing may be cast by any county commissioner from the <br /> county who is present at the time the vote .is taken, provided that <br /> if no commissioner be present, suck vote may be cast by another <br /> county official elected or appointed, Iqho is formally designated <br /> by the Board of CommissJoners. These provisions shall govern <br /> district meetings of the Association." <br /> <br />A County becomes a member in good standing upon payment of the Annual Service <br />Fee. <br /> <br />District caucuses for the purpose of nominating board members will be held at <br />the Annual Conference for those districts in which tho term of the board <br />member expires.
