CABARRUS COUNTY
Department of Social Services

Concord. North Carolina'l~8025
October 2, 1978

Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager
Post 0ftice Box 707
Concord, North Carolina 28025

Dear Mr. McGinnis:

We have received information from Centralina Council of Government
that the Commissioners are being asked to designate a focal point
on aging for the County. I do believe that our Agency is the one
to do this. We have had the opportunity through Title XX and the
Title III programs to know who theee elig~le people are and also
what their needs are. One other important thing is that we would
not have to use any money for administrative set up for Director,
additional office apace and equipment. This, of course, would mean
that we could make more of the money available to the people that
need it.

I sincerely request your support and the Commissioner's in designating
the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services as the focal point
on aging for Cabarr0s County.

Sincerely,

Director

FBL:bah
