Hunt, J <br />DATE: October 5, 1978 <br /> <br />I want us to make a special effort to try to maximize inter- <br />departmental use of State facilities that we have in the <br />counties, and urge counties to do the same with their own <br />facilities. Specifically, where we are developing community <br />centers and that sort of thing, let's g~y to do them right <br />next to the schools so the schools can use the facilities. <br />Where armories are going to be built, let's build them right <br />next to the schools so the schools can use the facilities and <br />vice versa. The same can be done with garages for work on <br />motor vehicles. The facilities used by different departments <br />could be built together. <br /> <br />I want to ask the Secretary of Administration to see that our <br />state facilities are approached in that way, and urge us all <br />to work with the various groups that we have to work with to <br />try to encourage them to do the same thing. <br /> <br /> <br />
