General Statutes Chapter 130 is amended by <br /> - adding a ~ew section to read: <br /> <br /> "§ ]30'-9.5. Nursinq home ad~isorI con~ttees_.--(a) Statenent <br /> of purpose. It is the purpose of the GeDeral Assembl~ that <br /> community ad¥isory committees work to maintain the spirit of the <br /> nursing home bill of rights (Chapter [30, Article 30) within the <br /> nursing hones in this Stat~ It is the further purpose of the <br /> General Assembly that the committees promote comn~aity <br /> involFement and .cooperation with nursing hones and an integration <br /> of these homes into a system of care for the elderly. <br /> <br /> (b) Establishment and appointment of committees. A communit~ <br /> a~isor¥ committee shall be established in ,each county which has <br /> <br /> a nursing hone, shall serve all the homes in the county, and <br /> <br />~.~al·l,work·wi.th,ea~h hone for the best interests of the persons <br /> residing in each ho~e.
