Box 707 <br /> Concord, North Carolina 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Charles: <br /> <br /> The cabarrus County Health Department has been operating a satellite clinic <br /> in the Iogan area since 1968. 9~ne present clinic is located in the Chapman <br /> Hon~s Complex. We have been supportive of ~he Logan School renovation <br /> project and the offer by the City of Concord to provide space for our <br /> clinic facilities to better serve the people in the Logan area. <br /> <br /> The Logan School C~nplex as it is b~ing designed will enable us to extend <br /> our services beyond f]~t of Child Health and include Family Planning and <br /> ~ternity Clinic services and possibly screening services for senior <br /> citizens. <br /> <br />In anticipation of utilizing the Logan School Complex $1,000.00 was budgeted <br />for equipment to be used in furnishing the facility in addition to equzpment <br />on hand. Mr. Bob Stark, City Planner, has indicated ~hat funds may not be <br />available to complete the project such as covering the floor and painting <br />the area to be occupied for a satellite clinic. We would like to propose <br />the roll,lng as a request for additional ftmding to make this satellite <br />clinic operational: <br /> <br /> Floor covering and painting $1,000.00 - o~3~ <br /> R~frigerator for biologicals 300.00- <br /> Lab & clinic equipment 1,000.00 <br /> ~scellaneous supplies 500.00- <br /> 20 chairs for waiting area 400.00 <br /> Clerk, Half-Time 3,100.00 <br /> Total $6,300.00 <br /> <br />~ believe this to be a very important project in the interest of the residents <br />in the Logan area and is certainly a priority for funding to make health as well <br />as related services available through the facilities of the Logan School Project. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Albert J.
