Those who called about the office did not
complain about it's being closed. ~my only inquired as to whether they
could come to Concord to be certified.

(S) There is no privacy for interviewing as required by our Food Assis-
tance policy. Clients waiting to be interviewed wait in tile doorway and
try to rush tile workers. There is no clerical staff available to help
coordinate the interviewing system. III addition to client interruption,
there are also interruptions by lm~yers, policemen, judges, and others
wishing to use the telephone or rest room Facilities.

(6) There is a problem with equipment and facilities. The public rest
rooms are locked causiug clients to interrupt interviews ~o use tile
other facilities. On November 21, the entire building was locked so
that we had to close tile office. The desk drawers are broken and the
chairs are potentially dangerous ~n that tile backs are broken and some-
one may tip over in them.

~te feel these are some of tile major reasons we need to look at the
necessity of this office, lye do not feel this will eliminate anyone
from participating in the program, iic feel this will allow our workers
to be accessible to further develop other aspects of tbe program, partic-
ularly more detailed investigations.
