Pursuant to resolution of the Board of Commissioners at a <br /> <br />special meeting on November 18, 1976, Notice was duly published in <br />The Concord Tribune, a copy of which is attached hereto, announcing <br />that the Boa~'d intended to convey to Concord-Kannapolis Savings and <br />Loan Association TRACT B of the land hereinafter described in exchange <br />for the conveyance to Cabarrus County of TRACT A and the agreement by <br />Concord-Kannapolis Savisgs and Loan Association to pay Cabarrus County <br />tl~e surn of Seven Thousand Five I{undred Dollars ($7, 500.00) and to <br />demolish the building on Tract A and pave Tract A at no expense to the <br />County, and that said notice provided that ilxis matter would be considered <br />at the regular meeting on December 9, 1976; and whereaS, the Board of <br />CommiSsioners desires lo make said exchange; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEI{EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tbai Cabarrus County <br /> convey to Concord-Kannapolis Savings and Loan Association Tract B <br /> hereinafter described in exchaoge for the conveyance by Concord-Kannapolis <br /> Savings and Loan Association to Cabarrus Couniy of Tract A of the land <br /> hereinafter described and ~"~e payment by Concord-Kannapolis Savings &nd <br /> Loan Association to Cabarrus Couniy of lhe sum of Seven Thousand Five <br /> Hundred Dollars ($7, 500.00) and the agreement by said Concord-Kannapolis <br /> Savings and Loan Association lo demolish the building on Tract A and pave <br /> Tract A at no expense to the County and that lhe Chairman and Clerk to <br /> the Board be and they are hereby auihorized and directed to make, execute <br /> and deliver deeds and instruments necessary to effectuate the said exchange. <br /> <br /> TRACT A is described as follows: <br /> Lyii~g and being in Ward No. 3 of the City of Concord, Cabarrus <br /> Couoty, North Carolina, on the East side of Church Street, South, and being <br /> a part of the property known as the Winecoff Service Station lot, and being <br /> more particularly described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at an iron stake in the edge of the sidewalk on Church <br /> Street, South, corner of Concord-Kannapolis Savings and Loan Association <br /> (formerly Winecoff Service Station lot) and Cabarrus County, and runs lhence <br /> with il~e line of Cabarrus County, N. 31-05 E. 108.05 feet to an iron Stake, <br /> an old corner; thence a new line S. 47-49 W. ~03.32 feet to a point in the edge <br /> of lhe walk on the East side of Church Street, South; thence with the edge of <br /> lhe walk, S. 41-54 E. 31.42 feet to the BEGINNING, containing 1,620 square <br /> feet, more or less, as surveyed and platted by Billy B.
