RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE <br />PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS~ there was fLied-with the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina <br />on October 2, 1950~ a petLtion for the creation of the Parkwood Sanitary District, which petition <br />was signed by more than 51% of the resident freeholders within the area described in said petition <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after the public hearing on said petition upon due notice as required by law the State <br />Board of Health, on March 6, 1951, adopted a resolution cr.eating and establishing the Park~ood <br />Sanitary District, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, defining its boundaries and declaring the <br />territory withiu said boundaries to be a sanitary district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bomudaries of~ said district were defined in said resolution and were set forth in sai~ <br /> <br />petition as follows: <br /> <br /> "BEGINNING at a point in the western line of the $omhhern Railread right of way <br /> <br /> 150 feet north of the line of a new street near the antique shop and about 1050 <br /> <br /> feet north of the centerline of Mill Road; thence S. 85 1/2° W. 330 feet to a <br /> point 250 feet from the western boundary of the Concord Kannapolis Highway; thence <br /> parallel to said highway and 250 feet from its western boundary S. 15 1/2°, 650 <br /> feet; thence S. 33 1/2° W. 550 feet more or ~s ss to a point 150 feet north of the <br /> Northern boundary of Mill Road and 150 feet west of the western boundary of School <br /> Street; thence in two courses parallel to Sc~hool Street and 150 feet from it S. 20° <br /> <br /> E. 370 feet and S. 9° E. 536 feet to the centerli~ of Oak Ridge Drive (also called <br /> Parkwood Street); thence S. 6 1/4° W. 1300 feet ~more or less to a point in the cent er- <br /> line of Pless Street 150 feet from the west .boundary of School Street; thence parallel <br /> to School Street and 150 feet from it S. 28 3/4° W. 816 feet to Tally's southern <br /> boundary.; thence following said boundary and crossing School Street S. 85° E. 385 <br /> feet to a point 150 feet east of ~ts eastern bound~ry; thence parallel to it N. 28 3/4° <br /> E. 1200 feet; thence S. 83° E. 1200 feet; thence N. 82o E. 510 feet more or less to <br /> a point in the eastern line of the Southern Ra~woad ~ight of way the northwest <br /> corner of the Dr. W, L. Emmell home lot; thence following the common line of the <br /> <br /> Dr. W. L. Ew~ell home lot and that of Dr. J. ~. Ezzell, ~N. 5~ 1/2°. E. 450 feet to <br /> the western lira of Cannon Boulevar; thence following said western line S. 35 1/2° <br /> <br /> E. 235 fee~ to the southern line of Country Club Road; the nce following the south <br /> <br /> line of this road~ in three courses N. 29 1/2° E. 750 feet N. 24° E. 500 feet and <br /> <br /> N. 26° E. 615 feet to the center of Three Mile Branch; thence following T.hree Mile <br /> Branch as it winds in a Northeasterly direction about 1150 feet to the northern <br /> corner of "The Pines" subdivision; thence following the ~nes of this subdivision <br /> in a we~sterly direction along a small branch about 1350 feet to the eastern boundary <br /> of Cannon Boulevard; thence S.86 1/2° W. about 500 feet to a point in the eastern <br /> bound~ ry of Ce~ntral Avenue of'the line of Simmons nort~rn boundary; thence crossing <br /> Central Avenue, following Simzlons northern boup~ dary and crossing the Southern Railroad <br /> right of way S. 57° W. 330 feet to its western boundary; thence following said <br /> <br /> Western boundary of the Southern Railroad in a curve to t~ point of BEGrudgING". <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> <br />
