199 <br /> <br /> The Board of Equalization of Cabarrus County, met on Monday April 12th, at 10 A. M. in the <br /> County Courthouse in Concord, N.C. <br /> <br /> The following were present: Mr. J. Lee White, Mr. M.S. Lyles, Mr. H. L.Fink, Mr. P.E. <br /> Stallings and Mr. Bowman Barrier , members of the Board of County Commissioners. Also present <br /> were Mr.C.N.Fields, Auditor, and Mr. R. C. Harris,Tax Supervisor. <br /> <br /> The board considered the report of the Committee, appointed at a previous meeting, to <br /> visit the property of persons requesting adjustments in property valuations for tax purposes. <br /> <br /> The following adjustments were made: <br /> <br /> Phil Bangle - lot onS. P.Furr, Concord, N.C. 3728.00 to 2738.00 <br /> Mrs~ Worth Byrd - Concord N C 230.00 to lO0.O0 <br /> <br /> A resolution was passed authorizing a refund to Lee J.Tucker, 8~ Ashlyn Avenue in 1951 for <br />$6.75 and for 1952 for $7.50 to correct an error in valuation for lots on Ashlyn Av~ue. The <br />board authorized a refund to the First Baptist Church. The Board also authorized a refund for <br /> <br />Mrs. Brice Willeford on a Jewely Store for 1953 and also license tax on a pawn shop, provided <br /> <br />these refunds are approved by County Attorneys. <br /> <br /> The Board did not approve the adjustments in valuation requested by the following: <br /> Mrs. Cassie Griffin <br /> Mrs. Healy Jones <br /> C. C. Long <br /> <br /> Greely Misenheimer <br /> <br /> C. G. Tare <br /> <br /> L. S. Troutman <br /> <br /> Mrs. J, ~. Burns <br /> <br /> Upon motion by Mr~ P.
