August 26, 1958, at the Educational Building of the Southside Baptist Church, Concord, North <br /> ~erolina, ~hich public hearing will b e held by the Board of Commissioners for theCounty of Caba~rus <br /> and a representative of the North Carolina State Board of Health, upon a petition, filed with the <br /> Board of Commissioners for the %unty of Cabarrus, proposing the creation of a sanitary district. <br />All of the territory proposed to be included in such sanitary district is located in Cabarrus <br /> County, North Carolina, a~d the boundaries of such territory are as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the western boundary of the Main Line of the Southern Railroad opposite <br />the centerline of Short Street adjoining the South side of ~e Franklin Mill property in South <br />iConcord, thence following said centerline of Short Street North 83 degrees West, 1500 feet; thence <br />North 68 degrees 30 minutes West, 620 feet more or less to a point halfway between Jackson Street <br />and the Old Charlotte Highway; thence halfway between said streets, South 47 degrees West, 475 <br />feet to the center of Rockwell.Road; thence South 55 degrees East 250 feet more or less to a point <br />100 feet east of gackson Street; thence parallel to Jackson Street in two courses °outh 38 degrees <br />West, 560 feet and South 5 degrees West, 840 fe~t more or less to the centerof Sunset C~eek; <br />thence following said Sunset Creek downstream, following the various courses and meanderings thereof, <br />and continuing to the western boundary of the Southern Railroad; thence following said western <br />boundary of the railroad to t he point ~ Beginning. <br /> <br /> The objects proposes to be accomplished by the creation of such sanitary district are~be acquisition <br /> construction, maintenance and operation of a water supply and distribution system, a sewarage <br /> system sewage disposal or treatment plant, providing adequate fire protection facilities, and <br /> such other utilities as may be necessary for thepreservation and promotion of thepublic health and <br /> sanitary welfare within the district. <br /> <br />At the time and place above sta~d any freeholder within the proposed sanitary district or other <br /> interested person may appear and be heard. <br /> <br />Dated this 28th day of July, 1958. <br /> <br /> W.Frank McCray, <br /> Chairman of Board of Commissioners for Count~ <br /> of Cabarrus, State of North Carolina <br /> <br />Section 3. That a joint ~ublic hearing shall be held by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County with a representative of the S tare Board of Health at h o'clock P M on Tuesday, August 26, <br />1958, in the Educational Buildisg of the Southside Baptist Church, at which time and place any <br />freeholder within the propesed sanitary district or other interested person may appear and be <br />heard. <br /> <br />Commissioner W.Guy Isenhoux moved the passage of the foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION <br />P~LATING TO THE CREATION OF A SANITARY DISTRICT" and Commissioner~. P.E.
