August 26, 1958, at the Educational Building of the Southside Baptist Church, Concord, North ~erolina, ~hich public hearing will b e held by the Board of Commissioners for theCounty of Caba~rus and a representative of the North Carolina State Board of Health, upon a petition, filed with the Board of Commissioners for the %unty of Cabarrus, proposing the creation of a sanitary district. All of the territory proposed to be included in such sanitary district is located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, a~d the boundaries of such territory are as follows: Beginning at a point in the western boundary of the Main Line of the Southern Railroad opposite the centerline of Short Street adjoining the South side of ~e Franklin Mill property in South iConcord, thence following said centerline of Short Street North 83 degrees West, 1500 feet; thence North 68 degrees 30 minutes West, 620 feet more or less to a point halfway between Jackson Street and the Old Charlotte Highway; thence halfway between said streets, South 47 degrees West, 475 feet to the center of Rockwell.Road; thence South 55 degrees East 250 feet more or less to a point 100 feet east of gackson Street; thence parallel to Jackson Street in two courses °outh 38 degrees West, 560 feet and South 5 degrees West, 840 fe~t more or less to the centerof Sunset C~eek; thence following said Sunset Creek downstream, following the various courses and meanderings thereof, and continuing to the western boundary of the Southern Railroad; thence following said western boundary of the railroad to t he point ~ Beginning. The objects proposes to be accomplished by the creation of such sanitary district are~be acquisition construction, maintenance and operation of a water supply and distribution system, a sewarage system sewage disposal or treatment plant, providing adequate fire protection facilities, and such other utilities as may be necessary for thepreservation and promotion of thepublic health and sanitary welfare within the district. At the time and place above sta~d any freeholder within the proposed sanitary district or other interested person may appear and be heard. Dated this 28th day of July, 1958. That a joint ~ublic hearing shall be held by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County with a representative of the S tare Board of Health at h o'clock P M on Tuesday, August 26, 1958, in the Educational Buildisg of the Southside Baptist Church, at which time and place any freeholder within the propesed sanitary district or other interested person may appear and be heard. Commissioner W.Guy Isenhoux moved the passage of the foregoing resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION P~LATING TO THE CREATION OF A SANITARY DISTRICT" and Commissioner~. P.E. Stallings seconded the motion and the resolution was passed by the following vote: Ayes: Commissioners W.Frank McCray, P E Stallings, Bowman Barrier and W.Guy Isenhoux Noes: None i, John R.Boger,Register of Deeds and ex officio Clerk of the Board of Co~nissioners for the County of ~abarrus, North Carolina DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true copy of so much of the proceedings of the Board of Commissioners for said County at a meeting held August 4, 1958 as zelate~ in any way to the passage of the resolution hereinabove set forth, and that said proceedings are recorded in ~nute Book No. 13 ~a~ of the minutes of said Board, beginning at .page 465 and ending at page 468.
