472 Commissioner M.~moot Lyles introduced the following order authorizing bonds whieb was read: ORDE~ AUTHORIZING $125,000 SCHOOL BUILD~ BC~I~ ~F~, The Concord City Board of Education has certified to this Boaxda resolution p~ ~assed on September 2, 1958, showing that adequate school facilities axe not now available in the Concord City Ad~istr&tive Unit to comply with the requirements of Section 3 of Article IX of the Constitution of North Carolina for the maintenance of schools six months in every yeax, and that it is necessary, in order to maintain such six months' School term as required by said Section 3 of Article IX of the Constitution, to enlarge the Logan School am acquire necessary equipment, the estimated cost of which is $240,000; and .~EREAS, the Cabaxrus County Board of Education has certified to this Board a resolution passed on September 2, i 958, showing that adequate school facil_ities axe not now available in the Cahaxrus County Administrative Unit to co~ply with the requirements of Section 3 of Article IX of .%he Constitution of North Carolina for the mainte~ance of schools six months in every year, and that it is necessary, in order to maintain such six months' school term as re- quired _by said ~ectlon 3 of Axticals IX .of the Constitution, to enlarge the Haxtsell School and acquire necessary equipment, the estimated cost of which is $160,000; and ~HE REAS, said resolution request the Board of Commissioners to take all necessary step~ by the issuance ,of bonds o~ otherwise, so t~at' .such school facilities may be provided; and ~HEREAS, the Boaxdof Commissioners has carefully examinned the facts and has determined nd does hexbby find aa a fact that said statements of .the above mentioned resolutions axe true and th= it has become the duty of said ~oaxd of gc~aisaionsrs, acting as an administrtive agent of .the State in providing a State system of public schools, to order the issuance of bonds of the County of 'Cahaxrus so that the school facilities mentioned in paragraph 1 of this order and in said resolutions may be provided in order to maintain the six months' school term in the County of Cabaxxua aa required by '~ection 3 of Article Ix of the Constitution; now, therefore, BE IT O~DE~ED AMD ~ESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners forths County of Cabarrus: 1.
