<br /> On the Motion of Dr. Bender , ~hich was duly seconded by -Dx.Edwards , the following
<br /> resolutions wexe passed extending the boundaxies of tM Pa~kwood Sanitaxy Distxict in Cabaxxus
<br /> County, North Carolina, all in accoxdance with provisions of Chaptex 130, Axticle 12, Section
<br /> 130-148, Genexal Statutes of No~th Carolina 1957.

<br /> BE IT RESOLVED, That the Noxth Caxolina State Boaxd of Health, upon giving due consideration
<br /> to the pxoposal to extend the bondaries of the Paxkwood Sanitary Distxict, CabazxusCounty,
<br /> Noxth Caxolina, ~inds the following facts in xelation thexeto, to wit:

<br /> (A~ That the petition containing fifty (50%) pox cent of the freeholdexs, within thepxoposed
<br />texritozy to be annexed, petitioned the Boaxd of Commissionexs of the Pazkwood Sanitaxy District,
<br />The Board of Commissionexs fo~ the County of Caba~xus, and the Noxth Carolina State Board
<br />of Healt~ to take all pxoceedings neCessaxyto annex said tex~itorym~d include same within the
<br />boundaxies of Paxkwood Sanitaxy Distxict, including the holding of an election within said texxito~
<br />upon the subject of annexation. Upon ~eceipt of said petition and aftex due considexation the
<br />Sanitary Distxict Boaxd of Commissionexs found the petition satisfactoxy with respect to it s
<br />sufficiency, a~d through its chairman xequested the County Board of Eommissione~s of Cabaxxus
<br />County to call a special election concexntng t~s annexation. The election was held on Saturday
<br />December 6, 1958. At said election a majority of the qualified xegistexed votexs who voted on the
<br />pxoposition of the annexation of said terxitory tothe Pa~kwood Sanitaxy Distxict voted in favor of
<br />such px oposit ion.

<br /> . (B) The State Board of Health was duly notified through the chairman of the Boaxd of
<br />Commissionexs of Cabazzus County. Therefore, t he State Health Dizeetox of the State of No~th
<br />Caxolina, and the chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Caba~zus County, mutually set the date
<br />and place fox the hoaxing to be held on Monday, January 19, 1 959, at 4 P. M. in the Winecoff public
<br />school building, located within the boundaries of theSanitaxy Distxict.

<br /> Notice of the joint public hoaxing was duly given by posting a notice on the bulletin Board
<br />at the Cabarzus County Courthouse and publishing fox b ur (4) successive weeks in the "Concoxd
<br />Txibune", a newspaper published in Concoxd, Ncuth caxolina, and cixculated in the area to be
<br />annexed.as xequi~ed under Chapter 130, Article 12, Section130-124, Genexal Statutes of Nozth
<br />Csx olina 1957.

<br /> (C) That a joint public hoaxing was held by the Board of Commissionexs of Cabarzus County
<br />and ze~xesentatives of the Noxth Caxolina State Boaxd of Health, to wit: Mm. W.S. McKimmon,
<br />Chief of the Engineexing Section, and Mx Maxshall Staton,Dis~xict Engineex, upon the question
