'539 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at their regular monthly meetin9 on August 3, <br /> <br />1959 at 10:00 A M at the County Courthouse with the following members present: <br /> Chairman: W.Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Commissioners: L Bowman Barrier, M.Smoot Lyles, W. Guy Isenhour and P.Ernest-Stallings <br /> <br /> MOtion by W. ~uy Isenhour seconded by L. Bowman Barrier that the following road petitions <br /> <br />be passed and mailed to the State Hi§hw~y and Public Works Commission J[n Albemarle, <br /> No. 9 Township - Cr~lyton road - Tar and gravel <br /> <br /> No. it Township - Part Street (tnCenterview) pave street <br /> <br /> No. 10 Township - John Helms Road- Construct new road and made an all weather road. <br /> No. itTownshtp - Dalewood Avenue- pave. <br /> No. 4Township - St. Joseph's Street- pave. <br /> <br /> Motion by M.Smoot L~les g~conded by W. Guy Isenhour that John Harward , County Accountant <br />be authorized to transfer $150,000 dollars from School Fund and $50,000 from ~th~ General Fund <br />to Buy Treasurer Notes for 90 days. <br /> <br /> Motion by W.Guy Isenhour seconded by L.Bowman Barrier that the Boundries of Richfield- <br />Misenheimer fir~ Dept Inc. as presented he approved. The lines are as follows~ <br /> <br /> Beginnin9 at a point on Stanly-Caharrus County line where N.C. Hwy 49 intersects said <br />line and thence with the Stanly-Caharrus line 0.4 mi. SW to a point in said line, thence S. <br />0.7 mi. to a point on Hwy 49 0.6 mi. W. of point of Beginning, thence 1~ 3.3 mi. to a point on <br />Rowan-Caharrus County line where U.S. Hwy 52 intersects said line, thence E. with Rowan- <br />Caharrus line, to intersection withn Stanly County line, thence SW 4.0 mi. with Stanly-Cabarrus <br />County line tolpoint of beginning. <br /> <br /> Co.nuissioner W.Guy Isenhour il~troduced the following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION C~ LING A SPECI/~L BOND ELECTION IN SOUTH CONCORD SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners has determined anddoes hereby find and declare <br />that certified copies of the resolution entitled: "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING $37,000 General <br />OBLIGATION WATER BONDS OF SOUTH OONOORD SANITARY DISTRICT" and of the resolution entitled: <br />"RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE SECRETARY OF THE SANITARY DISTRAICT BOARD TO PUBLISH THE BOND RESOLUTIO] <br />AUTHORIZING $37,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION WATER BONDS OF SOUTH CONCORD SANITARY DISTRICT AND <br />REOUESTING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTf OF CABARF~S TO CALL AN ELECTION UPON THE <br />ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS AUTHORIZEDLTHEREBY", passed by the Sanitary District Board of South <br />Concord Sanitary District on July 29, 1959, have b.een received by this Board. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That a special bond election is hereby ordered to he held in South Concord <br />Sanitary District, in Caharrus County, North Carolina, on Saturday, September 26, 1959, between <br />6:30 A M. and 6:30 P. M.Eastern Standard Time, at which there shall he submitted to the <br />qualified registered voters of said South Concord Sanitary ~istrict the following proposition: <br /> Issuing not exceeding $37,000 General Obligation Water Bonds for the purpose of providing <br />funds for the acquisition and construction of a water sustem for the District, including the <br />acquisition, reconstruction and enlargement of existing water mains and lines, the construction <br />~nd.tnstallation of additional water mains and lines, and the a~qulsitton of any necessary <br /> aha and rights of way, as authorized hy a bond resolution adopted the Sanit_.ary District <br />Board of Said District on July 29, 1959, and the levy of a tax for ~e payment thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
