The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at their regalar monthly meeting on November 1959 at 10:00 A. M. at the County Courthouse with the following members present.' Scrape and keep following MO~ion by L.Bowman Barrier, seconded by W.Guy Isenhour that the/Resolution be approved for the creation of a fire dlstr¢ct for the Richfield-Misenheimer Fire District: "WHEREAS , THE Board of Commissioners of Stanly County has apprOVed the creation of a fire district designated as the Richfield-Mtsenheimer Fire District, lyin9 principally in Sta~lyi~:~:.~t~3;- County but extending also into Cabarrus County and also into Row'ay County; and WHEREA~, The Board of Commissioners of Cal)arrus County after careful consideration deems the creation of such a fire district as reasnnably necessary for the safety and welfsm¢ of the citizen and residents of said district as the same is hereafter defined and as the same appears on the map hereto attached and described as follows: Beginning ar a point on N.C. Highway No. h9 four (h) mi. west of fire station, this being 0.6 mi. w~st of Stanly-Cabarrus County line, t hence northeast 3.3 mi. to a point on U.S. Highway 52 at Cabarrus- Rowan County line; thence 2.2 mi. to intersection of Reeves Island (an extension in Rowan of the ZionChurch Road in Stanly) and Beaty's Ford Roads~ thence E. with Beatty's Ford Road 1.o mi. to intersection with Stokes Ferry Road~ thence southeast' with Stokes Ferry Road 2.0 mi. to Riles Creek bridge; thence south 0.3 mi . with the conrac of the creek to the Stanly County Line; theme east 0.5 mi. with Stanly Rowan County line to Heglar Road; thence S. 0.2 mi. with Heglar Road to intersection with N.C.
