(c) That said petition was duly signed by 108 resielent freeholders residing within the proposed sanitary district~ that there are 180 resident freeholders within said proposes sanitary ~strict~ and that th~ m~ber of ~'e~ident freeholders who signed said petition i~ more than fifty-one per cent (~1~) of the freeholders resideins within said propses~l sanitary district. (d) That said petition requests the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus to take all necessary action re~ired by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the creation of a sanitary disbrict and the objects it is propssed to accomplish. Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners, through it, s Chairman, nbtify the State Board of Health of the receipt of said petition, and request that a representative of the State Board of Health hold. a joint public hearing with the County Commissioners of Cabarrus Cour~ty concerning the creation of the proposes s~nitary district. Section 3. That the Chairman of the Board of County Comissioners and the State Hea~th Director name a suitable time~ place and date for said joint public hearing: Section h. That the Chairman of the ~oard of County Commissioners, upon agreement with the State Health Director as to the ttme..and place of said public hearing, ~ive prior notice of such hearing by posting a notice at the Courthouse door of Cabarrus County and also by publication of such notice in the Concord Tribune, a newspaper published in Cabarrus County. That a joint public hearing shall be held by the Board of County CommissiOners cf Cabarrus County with a representative of the State Board of Health,at such time and place as ~s agree~ upon by the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and the State Healty Birector, at which time and place any freeholder within the proposed sanitary district or other interested person may appear and be heard. Commissioner W.Guy Isenhour moved the passage of the foregoing resolution entitled "RESOLUTIO~ RELATING TO THECRF~ON OF A SANITARY DISTRICT", and Commissioner P E Stallings seconded the motion, a nd the resolution was passed by the following vote: Ayes: W.F. McCray, P E Stallings, W. Guy Isenhour a~d Bowman Barrier Noes: None. RESOLUTION PBOVIDING FORT HE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT. WHEREAS the following resolution, passed by the Sanitary District Board of the Parkwood Sanitary District on the l~th day of May, l?60, has been received by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: BE IT RESOLVED by the Sanitary District Board o f Parkwood Sanitary District Board of T~ Parkwood Sanitary District: Section 1. That the Sanitary District Board has determined and does hereby find and declare: (a) That the funds available from surplus operating revenues as provided by G.S. 130-1th are not sufficient for the payment of interest ~nd the retirement of the District's bonds. (b) That the assessed valuations of the property within the limits of the Parkwood Sanitary District amount to approximately $766,000.00. (c) That a levy of fifteen cents (1~) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation will produce approximately fourteen hundred, fifty dollars ($1h~O.~O0) revenue. (d) That barring unforeseen and unanticipated expenses, the sum of fourteen hundred, fifty dollars ($1~0.00) should be ample to meet all obligations of the district durin~hhe fiscal year 1960-1961. Section 2. That the ~ecretary of the Parkwood Sanitary District Board certify to the Board of Couuty/Commissioners for Cabarrus County, North Carolina, that the Par~m, ood Sanitary District Board has determined that a levy of fifteen cents (15~) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation of property within the district limits .is necessary to raise the amount needed to meeb 5he current bbligations of said district, and request that said amount be included ~nthe m xt
