571 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at their regular ~onthly meeting on July 5, 1960 <br /> <br /> at the Cabarrus County Gpurthouse at 10:00 A M with the following members present: <br /> Chairman: W.Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Commissioners: L.Bowman Barrier, W. Guy Isenhour and M.Smoot Lyles <br /> <br /> Absent: L.Bo~an Barrier <br /> <br /> Motion by W.Guy Isenhour seconded by M.Smoot Lyles that Samuel L.Thomas be given free <br /> peddlers license on account of being a disabled war veteran. <br /> <br /> Motion by L.Bowman Barrier, seconded by W.Guy Isenhour that_the following road petitions <br /> be passed and mailed to the State Highway and Public Works Comm. in Albemarle, N.C. <br /> <br /> Williamsburg Road (off Burrage Road ) (Request for Addition) <br /> <br /> .4 miles of dirt road to Mrs iMary Barringer (request for addition) <br /> <br /> No. 5 Township - Fink Drive - Gravel, or sand and maintain. <br /> <br /> Kansas Street Extemsionon West side of C~nnon Blvd. (reequest for addition) <br /> <br /> The Annexation of two territories to the Royal Oaks Sanitary District was presented to- <br /> <br /> the Board of County Commissioners. <br /> <br /> Commissioner M. Smoot Lyles introduced the following resolutiun which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CREATION OF A SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br />Section ~% That the Board of Commissioners has determined and does hereby find and declare <br />(a) That in accord with a resolution adopted at the June 1960 meeting of the Board of <br />~ommissioners conderning the creation of a Sanitary District, the Board of Commissioners, through i~ <br />]hairman, notified the State Board of Health of the receipt of said petition, and requested that a <br />~epresentatave of the State Boar~ of Healt~ hold a joint ~gblic hearing with the County Commissioner <br />)f Cabarrus County concerning the creation of the proposed sanitary district. <br /> <br /> (b) That the State Health Director and the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners have <br />~amed Friday, July 29, 1960, at 4 o'clock P. M., in the Bright Light Baptist Church, Ross Street, <br />located within the proposed sanitary distridt,,as the time and place at which said public hearing <br />~hould be held. <br /> <br /> (c) That the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners gave prior notice of such hearingl <br /> <br />by posting 'a not,ce at the Courthouse door of the County on June 24th, 1960, and also by <br />~ublication of such notice in the Concord Tribdme, a~newspaper published in Cabarrus County, said <br />~otice having been delivered to said newspaper with directions to such newspaper for the publicatio~ <br />of such notice' on July 6, 15, 20 and 27, 1960. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the action of the Chairman in posting the following notice of public <br />hearing on the creation of a sanitary distraict at the Courthouse Door on June 24, 1960, and <br />in authorizing the publication of such notice in the Concord Tribune on ~July 6, 15, 20 and 27, 1960 <br />be and the same is hereby ratified and Confirmed: <br /> <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON <br /> PROPOSED CREATIOM OF A SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> <br />
