/ 94 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at their regular monthly meeting on January ?th, 1963 <br /> <br /> at the Courthouse at 10:00 A M with the following members present: <br /> Chairman: C.Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, Oren Hill,, M. Smoot Lyles, W.Frank McCray and McNei! Petrea <br /> <br /> Motion by Oren C. Hill, seconded by McNeil Petrea, that Ralph K Litaker be appointed Tax <br /> <br /> Supervisor for Cabarrus County. Hill, Petrea and James voted "for" Lyles and McCray voted "against" <br /> The motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by M.Smoot Lyles seconded by Oren Hill that Poplar Tent Fire Department be given the <br /> same financial assistance as the other fire department of Rural Cabarrus County. The vote being <br /> unaminous. <br /> <br /> Motion by M. Smoot Lyles, seconded by W. Frank McCray that Barnhardt and Barnhardt be requeste( <br /> to continue to collect Delinqiuent taxes on taxes that are in process at th~ time. This was votedt <br /> on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by W. Frank McCray seconded by Oren Hill that $2500.00 offered the County by the LillyI <br /> <br /> Means estate on account owed Cabarrue County be accepted. This was voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by M Smoot Lyles seconded by W.Frank McCray tkst W. L. Mills Jr. be r~e[qested to complete <br /> the MeaRs and Beamon Estates ,tax accounts. This was voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by M.Smoot Lyles, seconded by Oren Hill that John Sharpe Hartsell continue to settle <br /> the Estates of Dora Davidson and Brown Penninger. This was voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by Oren Hill, seconded by McNeil Petrea that the following road petitions be approved: <br /> <br /> No. 11 Township- request for Addition <br /> No. 6 Township- Request for Addition <br /> <br /> Motion by Oren J Hill seconded by McNeil Petrea that due to the condiMons that the <br /> <br /> Commissioners would like to know the status of road No. 1306. <br /> <br /> Motion by M.Smoot Lyles , seconded by W. Frank McCray that the bill presented by John R. <br /> <br /> 3oger, for Discharges be paid. This was voted on and carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by M.Smo~t Lyles seconded by W. Frank McCray that John Harward, Warren Manus, Ann <br /> <br /> Ih rimmin§er and Don F~ggart be paid for work as long as they hel~ in the Accountants office and <br /> <br /> e Tax Collector's office.
