Mr. Beckerdite presented the following for approval: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on or about January 20, 1955, a lien was filed by Cabarrus County against the property <br />of Mary J. Caldwell, and recorded in Lien Book No. 3 at page 359; and whereas, the said Mary <br />J. Caldwell has requested subordination of the said lien to a mortgage in the sum of $~O0. for <br />necessary repairs and improvements on her property described in a deed recorded in book of <br /> <br />Deeds No. ~65, page 400, in the Office of the Register of Deeds; and whereas; after investigation <br />it is deemed to the best interest of the County and to the recipient of Old Age Assistance that <br />the lien be so subordinated: <br /> <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, acting <br />jointly with the County Board of Public Welfare for Cabarrus County, and acting under power <br />contained in G.S. 108-30.1, be, and he is hereby authorized to 3oin in a paper writing to <br />subordinate the lien herein stated to a mortgage for such repairs and improvements not to exceed <br />the sum of $500." Motion by Lyles, seconded by Petrea to approve the above. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> A representative of the State Highway Dept. discussed right-of-way for county owned property. <br />Commissioners asked if the State H~. would install sewer lines to replace the present septic <br />tanks.
