March 29, 1963 <br /> <br /> "The following resolution was introduced and read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> FOR THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS TO PROVIDE SCHOOL <br /> IMPROVE ME NTS <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Concord City Board of Education: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Concord City Board of Education has determined <br /> and found as a fact that adequate schoo[ facilities are not now available in the <br /> Concord City Administrative Unit to comply with the constitutional requirement <br /> for the maintenance <br /> of schools six months i eac~e and that it is necessary <br /> in order to maintain such six months' term o en[a nd erect school build- <br /> ings and acquire necessary equipment in the Concord City Administrative Unit, <br /> the estimated cost of which is $ <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus <br /> is requested to taWeallnecessary steps, by the issuance of bonds or otherwise, <br /> in order that such school facilities may be provided. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That a copy of this resolution be certified to the Board of <br /> Commissioners for said County. <br /> <br /> Upon motion duly seconded, the foregoing reso[ution was passed by the <br /> following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: D. B. Austell, Chairman, A. W. Thomas, Jr., .Mrs. Mary H. Lentz, <br /> George H. Brown, Mr. Richard W. Gillon, Ray W, Cline <br /> <br /> Noes: None <br /> <br /> WE HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true copy of so much of <br /> the proceedings of a meeting of the Concord City Board of Education on March <br /> 29, 1963 as relates to the passage of the resolution hereinabove set forth, and <br /> that such proceedings have been recorded in Minute Book IV, beginning at Page <br /> 250 and ending at Page . <br /> <br /> WITNESS our hands, this 29th day of March, 1963. <br /> <br />Note: Mrs. Frances F.
