WHEREAS, it has been determined that if the children residing <br /> <br />in the Administrative Unit operated by the Cabarrus County Board of Education <br />are to be adequately educated that additional land must be purchased for <br />said two new school plants and that the cost thereof and of the two new school <br />plants to be constructed thereon and of the remodeling and enlarging the <br />Mount Pleasant High School together with necessary equipment for all of said <br />plants would be $3,500,000.00. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Education does urge, request, and earnestly entreat the Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Cabarrus to take all such steps as may be necessary to provide <br />the ~abarrus County Board of Education with sufficient funds to purchase the <br />necessary property and to construct thereon two new school plants, and to <br />remodel and enlarge the existing school plant at Mount Pleasant in Cabarrus <br />County and to equip all of the same as hereinabove set forth, at an estimated <br />cost of $3,500,000.00. <br /> <br /> Upon motion duly seconded by Mr. S. J. Black, the foregoing <br />resolution was passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: H. E. Cline~ A. H. Harris, L. C. Harmon, S. J. Black, E. B.
