RESOLUTION SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THE ROYAL OAKS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners has received the following <br />resolution from the Board of Commissioners for the Royal Oaks Sanitary District: <br /> "RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE REQUESTED TAX RATE TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> Whereas, the Royal Oaks Sanitary District has met and, in compliance with <br />North Carolina General Statutes 13o-141, has determined the amount of funds <br />necessary to be raised by tax assessment and has determined the number of cents <br />per one hundred dollars property valuation necessary to raise said amounty; and, <br /> Whereas, the Sanitary District Board now desires to certify to the Board <br />of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, the number of cents <br />per one hundred dollars property valuation to be levied as a tax for the <br />Oaks Sanitary District; and, <br /> Whereas, the Royal Oaks Sanitary District has found that the said tax rate <br />for the year 1965 should be 65 cents per one hundred dollars property valuation; Now, therefore, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: <br /> Section 1. That the Royal Oaks Sanitary District Board, in compliance with <br />the bavoe mentioned statute, does hereby certify tOad?the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, that for the year 1965 it requests that said <br />Board of County Commissioners introduce in its annual levy the sum of 65 cents <br />per one hundred dollars property valuation to be levied against all taxable <br />property within the District, said funds to be collected by the County Tax <br />Collector and turned over to the Royal Oaks ~anitary District as provided in <br />General Statutes 130-141. <br /> Section 2. That the Secretary of the Sanitary District Board forward a <br />certified copy of the resolution to the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. <br /> Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from the date of its <br />passage. <br /> Section 2. That the Sanitary District tax for the Royal Oaks Sanitary <br />District for the year 1965 in the mmount of 65 cents per one hundred dollars <br />property valuation be and the same is hereby levied on property subject to the <br />tax in the Royal Oaks Sanitary District. <br /> Section 3. That said levy be collected by the County Tax Collector ~nd <br />the funds received therefrom be turned over to the Royal Oaks Sanitary District <br />as is provided in the North Carolina General Statutes, Section 130-141. <br /> <br /> Lyles made motion, seconded by Petrea to approve the following resolution: <br /> <br />Vote carried. <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> <br />TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY: <br /> WHEREAS, the new Concord High School situated on Burrage Road in Cabarrus <br />County is expected to be completed during 1966, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is imperative that everything possible to insure safe traffic <br />conditions to the new school shall be done for the safety of the children <br />attending this new school, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Concord request your <br />cooperation in seeking improvements in the following areas: <br /> 1. That Brookwood Drive be extended from the present City Limits <br /> to Burrage Road. <br /> 2. That the bridge on Burrage Road over the Three Mile Branch be <br /> widened and improved. <br /> 3. That a study be made with a view toward such improvements as <br /> channeling traffic, signal lights, directional signs and other <br /> improvements calculated to provide safer conditions and facilitate <br /> the flow of traffic at the following intersections~ <br /> a. Deal Road at Mt. Pleasant Highway and Old Salisbury Road. <br /> b.
