407 <br /> <br /> Mr. Goines, of Charlotte Motor Speedway, Mr. Cole, of Concord International <br />Speedway, Charles Haley, Cabarrus Twin City Speedway, and L. L. Brown, Concord <br />Dragstrip, appeared before commissioners concerning a proposed tax on the above <br />speedways. It was agreed they would meet again with commissioners at their <br />September meeting to discuss this matter further. <br /> <br /> Mr. Goines also requested a reduction in the appraisal of a new Ford <br />grandstand. He was instructed this would have to be discussed with the Tax <br />Supervisor and County Attorney before any action could be taken. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cole, Concord International Speedways, requested a fireworks permit <br />for Saturday, August 7, 1965, for the International Speedway. This was to be <br />granted upon Attorney Beckerdite's approval of his request. <br /> <br /> The following good and lawful citizens were drawn for jury duty for one <br />week Superior Court: <br /> <br />W.
