The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Thursday, June 16, 1~66 at 7:30 p.m. at the Courthouse. Present: Chairman, C. Frank James Commissioners, McNeil Petrea, Frank McCray, Smoot Lyles Absent: Commissioner, Oren Hill Meeting called to order by Chairman James. Attorney Johnson presented the resolution providing for issuance of $3,000,000 School Bldg. Bonds, Series B. Motion by Petrea, seconded by Lyles to adopt same. Resolution found on pages thru 4&3'~ . Vote carried. %~YS Radio requested approval of a permit for use of a fireworks display at Charlotte Motor Speedway July 4, 1966. Commissioners instructed Attorney Johnson to make necessary changes in submitted request and present at next meeting for a decision. Commissioners agreed to notify Concord Telephone Co. to have the Commissioners' telephone as a non-published number. The Concord City Schools presented their Capital Outlay Budget for 1966-67. There was discussion with the School Board on this budget but no action was taken. The Sheriff's Department's budget was also discussed with Sheriff Roberts. No action taken. Bids were received on document files for Clerk of Court's office. They are as follows: Williams Printing--120 drawers--$8.67~ per drawer less 20% Kale-Lawing Co.----114 drawers--S8.684 per drawer less 25% ~yles made motion, seconded by Petrea to grant Kale-Lawing Co. the bid for files. Vote carried. Petrea made motion, seconded by Lyles to approve contract submitted by Cabarrus Co.nstruction Co. to repair jail provided copies of all invoices are submitted to the County Accountant before payment. Vote carried. Commissioners agreed to have the next call meeting Monday, June 20, 1966, at 7:30 p.m Having no further business, meeting adjourned. ----Clerk to Board '
