C. Gice Allen, Jr., County Tax Collector, presented the Board with the final settlement <br /> <br />of the 1965 taxes which is herewith recorded on page no. [~ . Upon motion by McCray, <br />seconded by Petrea, the settlement was unanimously accepted as presented. <br /> <br /> Ralph K. Litaker, Tax Supervisor, reported a request by M. Fisher Beasley of Township h <br /> <br />that his personal property valuation for 1966 be reduced to 60% due to the fact that he <br />erroneously listed his personal property at 100% of valuation. McCray made motion that this <br />request be granted, seconded by Petrea, vote carried. <br /> <br /> E. T. Bost, Attorney for C~ntral Motor Lines, appeared before the Board concerning a <br /> <br />matter of tractors, trailers, and automobiles registered with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles <br />in Raleigh which he said had b~en stamped as bein9 entirely registered in Cabarrus County <br />through error in the Company's office. Tax Supervisor Ralph Litaker stated that $890,000.00 <br />in equipment had been listed in Cabarrus County whereas registration cards indicated <br />$1,9h8,876.0o in equipment was supposed to be listed in Cabarrus County. Attorney Bost <br />stated that the~quipment in question was listed in various counties in North and South Carolina <br />and requested this matter be reviewed by Central Motor Lines and Mr. Litaker and that they <br />work out a satisfactory solution. The Board agreed to this. <br /> <br /> A. L. Hurt, County Accountant, reported to the Board concerning N.D.E.A. appropriations <br /> <br />for the Concord and Kannapolis School units which had inadvertently been omitted from the <br />current expense budget by the County Board of Education at the time the budget was adopted. <br />He cited a request from the Concord City Board of Education that the surplus resulting from <br />State Intangible Tax collection be used to restore this item in their budgets. Upon motion <br />by Petrea, seconded by Lyles, the vote was unanimous_for Mr. Hurt to determine the per capita <br />appropriation for the Concord and Kannapolts School units and add this to their current <br />expense budgets for 1966-67. <br /> <br /> Motion by Petrea, seconded by Hill, to approve the following road petition: <br /> Township h - SIR 1791 - request for surface treatment <br /> <br /> The following good and lawful citizens were drawn for duty for two weeks of Superior Court: <br /> First Week <br /> <br /> John W.
