<br /> Mr. Litaker also submitted the estimated 100% County-wide Real Estate Valuation and requested the
<br /> Board to set the assessment rates as quickly as possible to allow his office to proceed with the
<br /> work of completing the abstracts for the tax listing and in order for his office to mail statements
<br /> to County citizens informing them of their property valuation. This matter was tabled for further
<br /> study. There was also a discussi6n of listing taxes by mail. Litaker stated that such changes
<br /> would require a special act of the North Carolina General Assembly. No official action was taken
<br /> on this matter.
