North Carolina. on the 8th day of February, 1 ~6'/, upon the Petition of Frederick G. Hilbtmh and wife, Alice M, l-Ltlbl~h, for the closing of a portion of a dedicated roadway pre- viot~lly abandoned by the North Carolina State Highway Co~tssion, and it appearing to the Board and the Board finding as facts the following: 1. That Carolina Drive is a roadway shown tn Map Book 5, page 63 recorded in the Cabarrus County ~tegistry as a roadway running generally north and south, located on the west side of U. ~. Htgtiway 29 in No. 4 Tow~lhip, Cabarrus County, North CaroLina; that the portion of Carolina Drive which is the subject of this Order is an area approximately 459.8 feet in length, 40 feet in width, and is that portion of Carolina Drive between its intersection with Oklahoma Avenue and Virginia Avenue. 2. That the North Carolina State Highway Commission, at its Decem* bmr 2, 1966 meeting in t%aleigh, North CaroLina, officially approved the abandon* sent of the aforedescribed portion of Carolina Drive as evidenced by said letter dated January 6, 1987, from the ~tate Highway Commission as it pertain~ to :~econdary Road No. 2094. 3. That the aforesaid petitioners are the owners in fee s~nple of all the real property adjoining Carolina Drive above described; that it is the desire and purpose of the petitioners in requesting the closing of maid roadway to use said roadway together with the adjoining property for a large business enterprise which will benefit the County of Cabarrum and all persons therein;
