that unless the above portion of Carolina Drive is closed, then a large portion <br />of petitioners' property can not be used for said proposed business enterprise. <br /> <br /> 4. That the best interests of the people of Cabarrus County will be <br />served by the closin~ of the aforementioned portion of Carolina Drive; that <br />the closing of said roadway is not contrary to the public interests and no <br />individual owning property in the vicinity of said roadway or in the subdivision <br />in which it is located will be deprived of reasonable means of ingress or e~Tess <br />to his property. <br /> <br /> 5. That notice of the meetin~ of the Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />of Cabarrtm County at which this matter of the closin{ of said roadway was <br />heard upon the duly filed Petition of the petitioners was made once a week <br />for four weeks in The Concord Tribune. a newspaper published in Cabarrus <br />County. as evidenced by the Affidavit of Publication made a part of the Petition <br />in this cause. <br /> <br /> $. That all of petitio~erlt~ exhibits made a part of their Petition have <br />been considered by the Board, includin{ the testimony of petitioners and their <br />counsel; that said Petition dated November 4, 1966 ami thereafter duly filed, <br />was made a part of the Minutes of the meetin~ of the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners; that no person, firm or corporation appeared in person or by attorney, <br />nor did anyone appear as the representative of a group to oppole the closin~ <br />of the aforedescribed portion of Carolina Drive. <br /> <br /> NOW, T~IEltEFOltE, upon the motion duly made, seconded and carried <br />by mmnimous vote of all members of the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Cabarrue County, it is ordered and adjudged: <br /> <br /> i. That the above referred to portion of Carolina Drive be closed, <br />pursuant to G. S. 153..9 (17), and that said roadway be and remain forever <br />closed as a ptlblic street or roadway. <br /> <br /> 2.
