County Accountant A. L. Hurt reported that a portion of the County property on Church <br /> <br />Street being used as a parking lot has several trees, a large gully, and underbrush adjacent <br />to property owned by Morris and White. The City of Concord and the other property owners <br />proposed to improve this portion by removal of trees, underbrush, and installing drain pipes. <br />Commissioner Hawfteld was requested to confer with City officials about this matter. <br /> <br /> A request to purchape a new electric typewriter for the Sheriffls Department was <br />approved. County Accountant Hurt was instructed to purchase this machine according to the <br />need of the department. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Hawfield, seconded by White to approve a resolution requesting the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Election to call for an A.B.C. referendum. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Petrea proposed an amendment to Hawfieldls original motion to include packaged beer <br />and wine sales. Voted for - Pe ~rea, White, Hawfield. Absent - Rankin. <br /> <br /> Upon motion by Hawfield, seconded by Rankin, the following road petitions were approved: <br /> T-11 Manor Avenue - Request for improvement. <br /> <br /> T-11 Glenwood Avenue - Request for surface treatment. <br /> <br /> The following 9ood and lawful citizens were drawn for jury duty for one week Superior <br /> <br />Court: <br /> R.
