Addition to minutes of meeting: <br /> <br /> The following resolution was presented for approval: <br /> <br /> The committe appointed to investigate the purchase of the Holding property on East <br /> <br />Corban Avenue (Firestone Building) have made the following report: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Holding property may b~ purchased for the sum of Forty-One Thousand <br /> <br />Two Hundred Fifty dollars ($~1,2~0.00); Payable Eleven-Thousand Two Hundred Fifty dollars <br />($11,250.00) the 20th of February, 1967; Ten Thousand Six Hundred dollars ($10,600.00) <br />February 1st, 1968; Eleven-Thousand Two Hundred dollars ($11,200.00) February 1, 1969; <br />and Eleven Thousand Eight Hundred dollars ($11,800.00) February 1, 1970; said payments <br />including interest and in accordance with option executed by and between W. J. Holding and <br />wife, Margaret H. Holding, and Cabarrus County through its Chairman of the Board of Con~aissioners <br />C. Frank 3ames, dated February 20, 1967, this option being a part of these minutes and <br /> <br />recorded on page J~ I~ · <br /> <br /> 2. That the above price is a fair and reasonable price for the property and that it <br /> <br />would be for the best interest of Cabarrus County to purchase said property. <br /> <br /> 3. That the 196~ legislature passed Bill No. iO~-~authorizin§ Cabarrus County to <br /> <br />levy a special tax to acquire County buildings and sites not to exceed two cents on $100.00 <br />valuation. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR CABARRUS COUNTY: <br /> <br /> 1. T,hat Cabarrus County purchase the Holding property located on East Corban Avenue, <br />Concord, N. C. in accordance with the purchase price and option as outlined above upon <br />delivery of a good and sufficient deed for Bhe said property. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for Cabarrus County and the County <br />Attorney be authorized to execute any and all instruments necessary to effectuate the purchase <br />of said property. <br /> <br /> With no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
