ATTORN£Y <br />McNE.[L PETREA <br /> <br />FRANK McCRAY <br />SMOOT LYLE$ <br /> <br /> March 15, 1967 <br /> <br /> Dear Sir: <br /> <br /> The following resolution was passed by the Board of <br /> County Commissioners~of Cabarrus County: <br /> <br /> THAT WHEREAS, Larry K. Lawrence, Cabarrus county <br /> Forester, appeared before the Board of Commissioners <br /> of Cabarrus County on the 6th day of Narch, 1967, a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof, in regard to the continued employment of the <br /> Assistant County Ranger's position for the biennium <br /> 1967-65 and 1965-69. <br /> <br /> THAT WHEREAS, Cabarrus County now has a man <br /> employed, who has two years of college, who has <br /> completed the Forest Management Training Program in <br /> less time than any other ranger in the State, and who <br /> meets and works well with the people in the County. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Director of <br /> the Board of Conservation and Development, State <br /> Forester, and all others concerned that the State-County <br /> share in the expenses of retaining said assistant <br /> County Ranger on the basis of 60% to the State and 40% <br /> to the County. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary that the assistant <br /> County Ranger's salary should be shared in by the State <br /> in order that said assistant County Ranger would be <br /> certified, retain many benefits, such as retirement plan, <br /> group insurance, credit union facilities, leave, ETC. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Board of County <br /> Commissioners of Cabarrus County request the Senators <br /> <br /> <br />
