Vote carried. <br /> <br /> The Kannapolis School Board discussed need for additional funds necessary to complete <br /> <br /> financi~3 of a new school to replace the old McIver School. Chairman Samuel B. Stroup, <br /> <br /> chairman of the Kannapolis School Board, stated that $163,h78.00 of other funds could be used <br /> if the County could refund this money in fiscal year 1968. Upon motion by Rankin, seconded <br /> by White, vote carried to refund $163,h98.00 of existing bonds through the Local Government <br /> Commission in Raleigh in fiscal year 1968-69 for this purpose. <br /> <br /> Commissioners appointed a nineteen (19) member "Blue Ribbon Citizens Committee" to study <br /> the needs for a new County Courthouse and jail.
