Commissioners interviewed two applicants for the position of County <br /> <br />Manager: Mr. Homer L. Troutnmn, Jr., and Mr. Eugene Robbins . No action was <br /> <br />take n ...... <br /> <br /> County Accountant Alfred L. Hurt reported interest income from investing <br /> <br />surplus County funds for the fiscal year 1966-67 would amount to approxim~tely <br />$88,000.00 by June 30, 1967. He also presented contract for the annual audit <br />of the County's books and the Clerk of Superior Court's office submitted by <br />Dante1 mhd D~ntel, C.P.A.'s, not to exceed $3,000.00. Hawfteld ~de motion, <br />seceded by ~tte, to accept the contract. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> County Attorney James Davis discussed an D.A.A. Lien of Martha N. Brown, in <br />the amount of $2,180.00. He recommended that the Board accept $1,650.00 which <br />had been offered for property in full settlement of the lien. Upon motion by <br />Ranktn, seconded by Petrea, the vote was unanimous for Attorney Davis to proceed <br />with settlement. <br /> <br /> Mr. George Wilcox, tenant of the Holding property, recently purchased by the <br /> <br />County, requested that the current monthly rental of $200.00 be reduced to <br />$150.00 due to business conditions and agreed to maintain the property if this <br />request was granted. Hawfteld made motion, seconded~-by White to set the rent at <br />$150.00 per month beginning June 20, 1967. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded!by White to appoint Commissioner R. B. Ranktn,Jr <br />a member of the Mental Health Board.
