56'7 <br /> <br /> Mr. J. M. Little, owner of property tn the Midland area, protested to the <br />Board about the validation of his property. The Board requested Mr. Little to <br />reappear at a later date, and the matter would be considered. <br /> <br /> Mr. W. H. Mills, operator of the C & M Ambulance Service, appeared before <br />the Board to discuss rhea mount of the subsidy he required from the County tn <br />order to provide satisfactory service. After discussion, Ranktn made motion, <br />seconded by White, to pay C & M $600.00 per month Including welfare ~btlls plus <br />permission to operate within the County for a period of one year, such permission <br />to be drafted in agreement form by the County. Attorney and the City Attorney. <br />Vote carried. <br /> <br /> The County Accountant presented a recommendation of the Health Department <br />Board to change the classification of W. V. ~ovtngton from Sanitary Supervisor I1 <br />to Sanitary Supervisor III and a change in salary from $8,028 per year to <br /> <br />$8,ab~k per year. Ranktn made motion, seconded by White, to approve the recommen- <br />dation. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> The Board declared Monday, September b~, 1967, as a Labor Day Holiday and to <br />hold the regular monthly meeting of the Cabarrus County Gommtsstoners on Tuesday, <br />September 5, 1967. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Craven, District Forester, appeared before the Board and proposed <br />several changes in the forestry program due to a shortage of qualified foresters. <br />The changes consisted of putting a full-time County ranger and an assistant <br />ranger in Cabarrus County and to have one forester work both Cabarrus and Stanley <br />Counties. The changes would reducethe current forestry budget by $1,500.00. <br />Commissioners agreed unanimously to accept the proposed forestry program as out- <br />lined by Mr. Craven. <br /> <br /> The following good and lawful citizens were drawn for jury duty for one week <br />Recorder's Court: <br /> <br /> Walter W.
