CCand ~4 Ambulance Servide, Inc., to pay the firm $800.00 per month for service in <br />Cabarrus ~ountyo The contract is for July, August, September, and October of <br />1968. County Attorney Davis said after which the contract will be negotiated to <br />determine whether or not an increase shall be allowed for ambulance service <br />rendered by C & M. <br /> <br /> County Nanager Hurt reported to the Board of money received by the ~elfare <br />Department from the State Department of Welfare. Haw£ield made motion, seconded <br />by Petrea, to let ~elfare Department use this money for their department. Voted <br />for - Hawfield, Petrea, and Beasley, Voted against - Rankin. <br /> <br /> Commissioners agreed to appoint a Cabarrus County Zoning Commission with <br />five members, one each from Concord, Harrisburg~ Mt. Pleasant, and two from <br />Township 4 - at the August meeting each commissioner will submit one name for <br />appointment to the commission. <br /> <br /> John Sharpe Hartse11, Chairman of the Cabarrus Oounty Board of Blections, <br />presented a resolution to the Commissioners adopting full-time voter registration <br />for the County. Also proposed ~n the resolution was the appointing of a full-time <br />secretary for the Board of Elections. Upon motion by Rankin, seconded by Hawfield, <br />vote carried to adopt resolution as presented. The Election Board was authorized <br />to set a salary for the secretary, taking into consideration the amount budgeted <br />and salaries paid such secretaries in other counties. <br /> <br /> Rankin made motion, seconded by Petrea, to accept the following road petitions. <br />Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Township #11- Picture Park Subdivision - Add to State. <br /> <br /> # 2 - Sundale Avenue - Add to State. <br /> <br /> # 8 - Road off Moose Road - Add to ~,State. <br /> <br /> Commissioners agreed to grant Thursday, July 4, 1968, as a holiday for <br />County employees. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
