STATEMENT OF RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> HELD IN THE <br /> <br /> COLD WATER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT <br /> <br /> IN <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> ON <br /> <br /> JULY 30, 1968 <br /> <br /> 170 voters were registered and qualified <br /> <br /> vote at a special tax election held on July 30, 1968 in the <br /> Cold Water Fire Protection District, in Cabarrus County, North <br /> Carolina. <br /> <br /> At said election ./~ voters voted for the approval <br /> <br /> in favor of tax for fire protection in Cold Water Fire Protecti( <br /> District, authorizing the levying and collecting of a special <br /> tax on all taxable property in said district, of not exceeding <br /> 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of the property, for the purpose <br /> of providiD~g fire protection in said district. <br /> <br /> At said election 2/ voters voted against the <br /> <br /> levying of tax for fire protection in Cold Water Fire Pro- <br /> tection District and the levyin~ and eollecting of a special <br /> tax on all taxable property in said district of not exceeding <br /> 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of property for the purpose of <br /> providing fire protection in said district. <br /> <br /> TltEREFORE a majority of the qualified registered voters <br /> voting thereon at the election voted for said special levy <br /> and collection of a special tax on all taxable property in <br /> said district of not exceeding 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation <br /> of property, for the purpose of providing fire protection in <br /> said dislrict. <br /> <br />,o,.so..o^v,s,.o,,o, ~5hn Sharpe' H~rtseI1, Chairman, Cab'ar: ~s <br />^mo.,,. u^, County Board of Elections and Supervis ~r <br />., CO..
