The Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, <br /> North Carolina, met in regular session at the Courthouse in <br /> Concord, North Carolina, the usual place of meeting at 9:30 <br /> o'clock a.m. on September 3, 1968. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman C. Frank James and Commissioners <br /> Dr. R. B. Rankin, Jr., C. McNeil Petrea, F. J. Beasley, Jr. <br /> and C. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Absent: <br /> <br /> At 9:30 o'clock a.m., the members of the Board of Commissic er., <br /> for the County of Cabarrus received from the Registrars and Judg s <br /> of Election the returns of the special tax election held on July <br /> 30, 1968, in the Cold Water Fire Protection District. After <br /> said returns had been canvassed, Commissioner James <br /> introduced the following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A SPECIAL <br /> ELECTION IN THE COLD WATER FIRE <br /> PROTECTION DISTRICT ON JULY 30, 1968. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County <br /> <br /> of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section I. The returns of the special tax election held <br /> <br /> on July 30, i968, in the Cold Water Fire Protection District <br /> in Cabarrus County having been received from the proper electio~ <br /> officers and the Board having canvassed the same, the following <br /> facts are hereby found and determined: <br /> <br /> (a) That at a special tax election held in the Cold Water <br /> Fire Protection District on July 30, 1968, there were submitted <br /> to the qualified registered voters of said Cold Water Fire <br /> Protection District the following proposition: <br /> <br /> An election in the Cold Water Fire Protection District <br /> for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters <br /> therein the question of levying and collecting a special <br /> tax on all taxable property in said district, of not <br /> exceeding 15¢ of the $100.00 valuation of property, for <br /> DAVIS & HO.TON the purpose of providing fire protection in said dis trier. <br />ATTORNEY~ AT ~.,AW <br /> <br /> CORE, AN AVE., $.
