PETITION FOR TIiE EXTENSION OF THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRIC~r <br /> <br />To the Board of Commissioners: <br /> <br /> The Kannapolis Land Company, a North Carolina corporation <br />with its registered office at 216 Cabarrus Bank Building, <br />Kannapolis, N. C., owner of all the land described hereinbelow, <br />respectfully petitions that all necessary action required by <br />Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North <br />Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be taken so <br />as to annex said land and include the same within the boundaries <br />of said Kannapolis Sanitary District under the authority of said <br />Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of NOrth Carolina. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the <br />land or territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District so that said district will include said territory within <br />its boundaries, and so that water and sewerage facilities and <br />other utilities and services which said district is authorized <br />to provide may be provided in said territory for the preservation <br />and promotion of the public health and sanitary we-lfare therein. <br /> <br /> It is understood and agreed that the petitioner will make <br />installation of the necessary water lines and sewer mains in the <br />territory hereinafter described in accordance with the rules and <br />provisions of the District for construction of water and sewer <br />lines in new developments. <br /> <br /> The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed <br />to and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: <br /> <br /> Lying in Number Four Township, Cabarrus County, <br /> N. C., in the northeastern corner of the intersection <br /> of the right-of-way of South Cannon Boulevard (U.S. <br /> Highway 29) and Centergrove Road and described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeastern corner of the <br /> intersection of the right-of-way of South Cannon Boulevard <br /> (U. S. Highway 29) and Centergrove Road at the old corner <br /> of Sun Oil Company, ard runs thence with three lines of <br /> Sun Oil Company as follows: (1) N. 44-18 E. 227.78 ft., <br /> (2) N. 5-41 W. 79.19 ft. to a stake; (3) S. 84-19 W. 175 ft. <br /> to an old corner with the Sun Oil Company in the eastern <br /> edge of the right-of-way of South Cannon Boulevard (U.S. <br /> Highway 29); thence N. 5-41 W. 260 ft. with the eastern <br /> edge of the right-of-way of South Cannon Boulevard (U.S. <br /> Highway 29) to an old corner with Robert G. Hayes; thence <br /> three lines with Robert G. Hayes (1) S. 83-51 E. 24.20 <br /> ft. to an old corner; (2) N. 74-18 E. 102.80 ft. to an old <br /> corner; thence (3) N. 5-41 W. 191.70 ft. to an old corner with <br /> Robert G. Hayes in the southern edge of Barnett Street; <br /> thence four courses and distances with the southern edge of <br /> Barnett Street; (1) N. 83-10 E. 200 ft.; (2) N. 81-27 E. <br /> 341.42 ft.; (3) N. 82-35 E. 195.15 ft.; (4) S. 60-11 E. <br /> 182.77 ft. to a stake at the intersection with Aggie Avenue; <br /> thence S. 1-47 E. 286.86 ft. with the western edge of <br /> Aggie Avenue to a stake; thence continuing with the western <br /> edge of Aggie Avenue, S. 10-46 W. 222 ft. to a stake, an <br /> old corner with Furr; thence N. 45-43 W. 27.27 ft. to a <br /> stake; thence S. 44-30 W. 633.99 ft., running a part of <br /> this distance with the western edge of Sharon Street, <br /> to a corner with Harrison Robeson; thence two courses <br /> and distances with Harrison Robeson (1) N. 45-30 W. 100 <br /> ft.; (2) S. 44-30 W. 150 ft. to an old corner with Harrison <br /> Robeson in the northeastern edge of the Centergrove Road; <br /> thence N. 45-28 W. 380.50 ft. with the northeastern edge <br /> <br /> <br />
