County Manager Hurt reported that Stan~ley County had decided not to Join <br /> into the proposed four county mental health complex, and that due to the need <br />K-- for additional office space for the complex a five year lease of the entire <br />· building presently occupied by the Mental Health Clinic had been negotiated for <br />~ $100.00 more per ~month additional rent, with the provision that the complex would <br /> make the necessary alterations in the rear of the building. <br /> <br /> County Manager Hurt reported that cost of feeding inmates of the County <br /> ,)ail amounted to $2.40 per day whereas the present ,)ail fees schedule was <br /> $2.75 for the first day and $2.00 for each additional day. County Attorney <br /> James Davis was instructed to check the law and to draft the necessasy infor- <br /> mation to obtain enabling legislation if necessary in order to raise' the fees <br /> sufficiently to meet the cost. <br /> <br /> A resolution adopted by the Cabarrus County Bar Assoc~ation expressing <br /> gratitude to the Cannon Founda~%6a, 1nc., for donating property in the Courthouse <br /> block to Caharrus County was received and read by the Board. <br /> <br /> Hawfteld made motion, seconded by Petrea, to approve the following road <br /> petitions: <br /> <br /> Twp.#5 - Creek Avenue Extension - Addition <br /> <br /> #11 - Miami Road - Request surface treatment. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
