RESOLUTION SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners has received the <br />following resolution from the Board of Commissioners for the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District: <br /> <br /> "RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE REQUESTED TAX RATE TO THE BOARD <br /> OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board has met and, <br /> in compliance with North Carolina General Statute 130-131, has <br /> determined the amount of funds necessary to be raised by tax <br /> assessment and has determined the number of cents per one hundred <br /> dollars property valuation necessary to raise said amount; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Sanitary District Board now desires to certify to <br /> the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, <br /> the number of cents per one hundred dollars property valuation to <br /> be levied as a tax for the Kannapolis Sanitary District; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board has found that <br /> the said tax rate for the year 1969 should be forty (40¢) cents <br /> per one hundred dollars property valuation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board, in <br /> compliance with the above mentioned statute, does hereby certify <br /> to the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North <br /> Carolina, that for the year 1969 it requests that said Board of <br /> County Commissioners introduce in its annual levy the sum of <br /> forty (40¢) cents per one hundred dollars property valuation to <br /> be levied against all taxable property within the District, said <br /> funds to be collected by the County Tax Collector and turned <br /> over to the Kannapolis Sanitary District as provided in General <br /> Statutes 130-141, the County Tax Collector retaining 5% of the <br /> amount collected as reimbursement to Cabarrus County for expenses <br /> of levying and collecting said tax. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Secretary of the Sanitary District Board <br /> forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of County <br /> Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from the <br /> date of its passage." <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Sanitary District tax for the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District for the year 1969 in the amount of forty (40¢) cents per one <br />hundred dollars property valuation be and the same is hereby levied on <br />property subject to the tax in the Kannapolis Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That said levy be collected by the Co'unty Tax Collector <br />and the funds received therefrom, less 5% of said amount which shall be <br />retained as reimbursement for expenses of levying and collecting said <br />taxes, be turned over to the Kannapolis Sanitary District as is provided <br />in the North Carolina General Statutes, Section 130-141. <br /> <br /> <br />
