PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> We, the undersigned freeholders within the boundaries of the <br />territory described below, respectfully petition that all necessary action <br />required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North <br />Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be taken so as to annex said <br />land and include the same within the boundaries of said Kannapolis Sani- <br />tary District under the authority of said Article 12 of Chapter 130 of <br />the General Statutes of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land or <br />territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District so that <br />said district will include shid territory within its boundaries, and so <br />that water and sewerage facilities and other utilities and services which <br />said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said territory <br />for the preservation and promotion of the public health and sanitary <br />welfare therein. <br /> <br /> It is understood and agreed that the petitioners will make <br />installation of the necessary water lines and sewer lines in the terri- <br />tory hereinafter described in accordance with the rules and provisions of <br />the District for construction of water and sewer lines in new developments. <br /> <br /> The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to and <br />included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point in the boundary line of the Kannapolis <br /> ~Sanitary District where the center line of Cross Street <br /> intersects the boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary <br /> District,-and runs thence along the center line of Cross <br /> Street S. 35 W. 178.5 feet, more or less, to a point in the <br /> center line of Lombardi Street; thence along the center line <br /> of Lombardi Street in a northwesterly direction for a dis- <br /> tance of 152 feet, more or less, to the point where the <br /> eastern boundary line of Lot No. 196 of Winecoff Heights, <br /> as shown on map recorded in Map Book 9 at page 53 in the <br /> office of the Register of Deeds for Cabarrus County, inter- <br /> sect-s the center line of Lombardi Street; thence along the <br /> eastern line of Lot No. 196 of Winecoff Heights, N. 35 E. <br /> to the point where said lot line intersects the boundary <br /> of the Kannapolis Sanitary District; thence along the boundary <br /> of the Kannapolis Sanitary District in a southeasterly direc- <br /> tion to the point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> .~ ~i-.i,~ "'Biily R.
