Cato two days each week at the rate of $25.00 per day to be <br />paid from funds already appropriated was unanimously approved upon motion by <br />Hawfield, seconded by McClary. <br /> <br /> County Manager Hurt requested permission to purchase three surplus 1969 <br />Ford patrol cars from the State Highway Patrol for Sheriff's Department and sale <br />by sealed bids of 3 sheriff's dept. cars being replaced. Commissioners granted <br />Mr. Hurt's request. <br /> <br /> A memorandum from the Institute of Government regarding compensation and <br /> <br />allowances of county commissioners was discussed. Commissioners instructed <br />County Manager Hurt to obtain from the Institute a comparison of compensation for <br />County Commissioners in the State and to obtain information pertaining to travel <br />allowance of counties around the State. <br /> <br /> Upon motion by Petrea, seconded by McClary, a request by Clerk of Court <br />Estus B.
