Saturday, February 28, 1970, and ending Saturday, March 14, <br /> 1970. On each Saturday during such period said books <br /> shall be kept open at the polling place. Saturday, March 21, <br /> 1970, shall be challenge day. <br /> <br /> Section IV. Notice of said election and new registration <br /> shall be published once a week for three successive weeks, the <br /> first publication to be at least twenty (20) days before the <br /> opening of the registration period, in the Concord Tribune, <br /> a newspaper published in Cabarrus County and circulating <br /> in said district, which notice shall be in substantially the <br /> following form: <br /> <br /> NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> AND NEW REGISTRATION <br /> IN <br /> POPLAR TENT FIRE DISTRICT <br /> <br /> A special election will be held between 6:30 a. m. and <br /> Standard <br /> 6:30 p. m., Eastern ~~3~x~~ Time, Tuesday, March 24, <br /> <br /> 1970, at which there will be submitted to the qualified <br /> registered voters of the Poplar Tent Fire District in Cabarrus <br /> County, North Carolina, which district comprises the territory <br /> hereinafter described the following proposition: <br /> <br /> An election in the Poplar Tent Fire District <br /> for the purpose of submitting to the <br /> qualified voters therein the question of levying <br /> and collecting a special tax on all taxable <br /> property in said district, of not exceeding 15¢ <br /> of the $100.00 valuation of property, for the <br /> purpose of providing fire protection in said <br /> district. <br /> <br /> The boundary lines of said Poplar Ten% Fire District <br /> <br /> are as follows: <br /> <br /> STARTING at a point 200 ft. west of U. S. Highway 29 and <br /> 200 ft. south of Lisk Ave. intersection and running in a <br /> <br /> northeasterly direction 200 ft. south of and parallel with Lisk <br />JOHNSON, DAVIS & HORTON <br /> <br /> A~ORNEY$ AT LAW <br /> · ,co,.^,^,~....w.
