Commissioners also granted two parking <br /> places at the rear of the County Butldtn9 on Church Street for State Vehicles <br /> used by the County Forester. <br /> <br /> Health Director A1 Klimas discussed the solid waste ordinance that was <br /> presented at the February meeting. Ranktn made motion, seconded by Hawfteld, to <br /> adopt the ordinance in accordance with the Statutory requirements. Vote was <br /> unanimous. This ordinance is recorded in Ordinance Book gl and becomes a part <br /> of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Upon motion by Ranktn, seconded by Hawfteld, property assessment ratio for <br /> <br /> the year 1970 was set at sixty percent (60~) of the valuation. Vote was Unantmou!. <br /> <br /> Attorney Bachman Brown presented a resolution from the Kannapolis Sanitary <br /> <br /> District for staggered terms for Board members elected from Cabarrus County. <br /> Vote was unanimous to .adopt the resolution upon motion by McClarv, second by <br /> Hawfield. This resolution is recorded on page 772 and page 773 and becomes a <br /> part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sam Colerider, representing the Hospital Board of Trustees, discussed <br /> ghat board's position regarding multi-County region proposed by the State <br /> Planning Director. The County Commissioners views were that Cabarrus County was <br /> alraad~:satisfactorily involved in the Central Piedmont Regional Council of <br /> Local Government with functional programs and a professional staff. Rankin made <br /> motion, seconded by McClary, that Cabarrus County remain in the proposed nine <br /> county region. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Commissioners also approved the Mid-Crescent Comprehensive Health Planning <br /> <br /> Council to continue to be the agency for health planning until such time as the <br /> <br /> proposed multi-county regions are definitely established. <br /> <br /> Bids for the demolition of the bakery, pawn shop, and camera store on Corban <br /> <br /> Avenue were submitted as follows: <br /> <br /> Cochran and Ross, Charlotte, N.£.
