Architect George Griffin made a progress report on the Law Enforcement <br /> <br />Building construction and recommended that a temporary retaining wall be <br /> <br />buIl~ along the area next to the Cabarrus Motor Company Building. ~ <br /> <br />~ ~ e~4_.~-%~d--'-_~ .'~n~...~,.~ .... ~ . The Board authorized Commissioners Rankin <br /> <br />and Hawfteld to work with Architect Griffin on this matter. Mr. Griffin <br />also recommended that grit be put down on the site where the bakery, <br />pawnshop, and camera stores Were demolished to keep that area usable until <br />the new building is completed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Richard Harrington talked to the Board concerning lights for a <br />baseball field. Commissioners instructed Mr. Harrtugton to discuss a lease <br />on the property in question with the County Attorneys and told him that <br />steps were being taken to seek means of obtaining funds for recreational <br />purposes. <br /> <br /> Hawfteld made motion, seconded by McClary, to continue the County <br />supplement to the fire departments. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Rankin m~de motion, seconded by Hawfield, with the vote unanimous, to <br /> <br />approve the following road petitions: <br /> <br /> Township #7, S/R #2457 Request for surface treatment. <br /> <br /> //2 S/R #1~90 - Circle Drive Request for surface treatment. <br /> <br /> #4 Woodstde Street Request for addition. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned~.. <br /> <br /> rk to Bo~'d <br /> <br /> <br />
