The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus held a public <br />hearing to consider a proposed Courthouse bond referendum, at 10:00 a.m. at the <br />Courthouse, August 16, 1971. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman - S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners - Robert A. McClary <br /> C. Frank James <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Commissioner Gallimore moved and Hammett seconded, on passage on second <br />reading of $145,000 School Bond Issue. Vote was unanimous. This is recorded on <br />Page 58 and becomes a part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary presented and read a resolution entitled <br /> <br />"Order authorizing $1,500,000 Courthouse Bonds." <br /> <br /> McClary made motion to pass this resolution, and to set September <br /> <br />7, 1971 at 10:00 a.m. as the date and time for the public hearing. Hammett <br />seconded the motion. Three votes for, one vote against (James). This is <br />recorded on Page 59 and becomes a part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> James made motion, seconded by Gallimore, to adjourn. Vote <br /> <br />unanimous. <br /> <br /> Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
