Hammett. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the' April 6, 197~ meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion, seconded by NcClary and carried unanimously, to accept the 6~% <br /> <br /> rate increase for hospital insurance on County employees through Blue Cross Blue Shield. The <br /> premium will increase ~.60 on the individual plan and $1.68 on the family policy. The Board <br /> moved the date of the increase from June 1 to July 1 and disapproved the coordination of benefits <br /> as requested by Blue Cross Blue Shield. <br /> <br /> James made motion, seconded by Gallimore and carried, to give Kale Lawing and Concord Job <br /> <br /> Printery an additional l0 days to vacate, with no additional charge in rent. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion, seconded by McClary and carried unanimously, authorizing the employ- <br /> <br /> ment of Nr. George Griffin in preparing specifications for the demolition of the Allison Building. <br /> <br /> In addition, the County attorney, John Boger, Jr., and County Accountant, Willian R. Wade, <br /> <br /> will check with tenants in County buildings on Corban Avenue and Church Street South to see if <br /> leases can be tetaninated so that those buildings can be torn down at the same time as the <br /> Allison Building. <br /> <br /> McClary made motion, seconded by James and carried, authorizing Chai~nan Hawfield to enter <br /> <br /> into a contract for typewriter maintenance. The contract not to exceed $800.00 for preparing <br /> <br /> [he Royal Electric Typewriters to contract standards plus the first yearts maintenance. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion, seconded by James, to sue for delinq~ea,t taxes. <br /> <br /> Concord Mayor, Alfred M. Brown, and City Manager, J. Paul Francis, presented costs of <br /> <br /> operating the City Tax and Building Inspector Departments, and noted a willin§ness to discuss <br /> <br /> the merger of services. <br /> <br /> S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr., Chairman, named Co~tssioners C. Frank James, John A. Nammett and <br /> <br /> County Accountant, William R. Wade, to a committee to meet with City Officials to draw up a <br /> <br /> proposal for present'ation at the next Commissioners meeting. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion, seconded by H~tt and carried, authorizing Robert Ao NcClary to <br /> <br /> worm out with Sheriff J. B. Roberts the details of sending two delegates to Court Security <br /> <br /> Trai/~tpg Course to, be held in Washington, D. C. <br /> <br /> Rudy Davis will be hired as Recreation Director effective June 1, 1972, and will attend <br /> <br /> the ~une Commissioners meeting. <br /> <br /> ~inecof~ire Department filed a petition that an election, which would pemit them to tax <br /> <br /> the district, be held June 20, 1972. Motion made by Gallimore, seconded by McClary and carried. <br /> <br /> This resolution is recorded on Page and becomes a part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Charles Gallimore made motion, seconded by McClary and carried that the County adopt the <br /> <br />,- same privilege license as the City subject to the limitations of the North Carolina Statutes. **R~£.
