150 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session <br /> <br /> at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on June 26, 1972 at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman - S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> Commissioners - Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Hammett made motion to appoint Patsy Moser Clerk to the Board. Gallimore <br /> <br /> seconded the motion and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner James, seconded by Commissioner McClary, the <br /> <br /> fol$owing resolution was unanimously passed: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Tax Collector, C. Ray McKinney, <br /> <br /> is authorized to verify, on behalf of Cabarrus County, any complaints in actions <br /> <br /> for the collection of delinqueat county taxes. <br /> <br /> McClary made motion to adopt an ordinance creating the Cabarrus County Community <br /> <br /> Relations Commission. Seconded by Gallimore and carried unanimously. This ordinance <br /> <br /> is recorded on page 151 and becomes a part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> McClary made motion to set the tentative tax rate for the fiscal year 1972/73 <br /> <br /> at $1.23 per hundred dollar valuation. Mitchell Fire District .lO <br /> Pitts Fire District .15 <br /> Poplar Tent Fire District .08 <br /> Rimer Fire District .09 <br /> Harrisburg Fire District .07 <br /> <br /> McClary made motion to adopt the tentative budget for fiscal year 1972/73 as <br /> <br /> presented.
