A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS <br /> %VITH OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS OF THE STATE <br /> FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE IN EMERGENCIES <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF THE COUNTY OF ROWAN: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to <br />execute contracts or agreements with such other poHtica! subdivisions of the <br />Stare of North Carolina as to him may seem advisab!e, pursuant to Section <br />160A-288 of the Genera[ Statutes of North Carolina, whereby the parties agree <br />to render mutua! aid and assistance by the loan of [aw enforcement officers <br />and/or equip~nent in time of emergency. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Such contracts or agreements shall specify when they <br />shall take effect, and shall be presented to the governing board of each party <br />for ratification at its next regua[r meeting, or at a spe¢ia! meeting cai!ed for <br />that purpose, but any such contract or agreement executed on behalf of this <br />County shall be in ail respects valid and binding on the County between the <br />time of its final execution and the next regular or special meeting of the Board <br />of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This resolution sha![ take effect upon its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
