The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North <br />Carolina, met in regular session at the County Courthouse in Concord, <br />North Carolina, at 9:00 o'clock a.m., on November 6, 1972. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman S. Glemn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> Core, missioners: Robert A. McClary C. Frank Jamea <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Absent: Commissioner Charles Gallimo~e <br /> <br /> B. S. Brown, Jr., representing the Kannapolis Sanitary District, <br />presented the following resolution Which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF <br /> TERRITORY TO KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF <br /> <br />CABARRUS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Cabarrus has determined and does hereby find and declare: <br /> <br /> (a) That on November 6 1972, two resolutions were received <br />from the Sanitary District Board of the Kannapolis Sanitary District <br />relating to the annexation of territory to the Kannapolis Sanitary <br /> <br />District. <br /> <br /> (b) That the territory described in each. petition consists <br />of the Lester W. Clodfelter and wife, Florean L. Clodfelter, and <br /> <br />Claude M. Colvard and wife, Eunice L. Colvard property in Rowan County, <br />North Carolina, and the property of Kannapolis Real Estate Agency, Inc., <br />in Cabarrus County, North Carol ina. <br /> <br /> (c) That each of the petitions were signed by all property <br /> <br />owners within the area requested to be annexed. <br /> <br /> (d) That said petitions request that all necessary action <br /> <br />required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North <br />Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District be taken so as to annex the territory described in the petitions <br />unto the Kannapolis Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> <br />
