ORDINANCE TO AMEND 1973-74 ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET - PUBLIC ASSISTANCE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, expenditures for the following Public Assistance accounts have <br />e×ceeded the budget appropr.iattor~s in the ].973-74 Anntial Operating Budget tn the <br />amounts as shown: <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br /> 418 Food Stamp Office Supplies $ 98.74 <br /> 406 Nutrition Program - Elderly Food Contract 16,864.02 <br /> 408 Nutrition Program - Elderly - Salaries 4,395.16 <br /> 407 Nutrition Program - Elderly - Other Expense 741.81. <br /> <br /> TOTAL OVER-EXPENDED ACCOUNTS $22,099.73 (T) <br />and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the budgeted appropriations for the following Public <br />Assistance accounts show unexpended and excess funds in at least the amounts <br />as shown: <br /> <br /> 411 Salaries - Staff $ 6,223.06 <br /> 412 Travel 1,803.05 <br /> 413 Office Expense 4,557.04 <br /> 414 Social Services Board 440.00 <br /> 415 Retirement & FICA 4,549.56 <br /> 417 Food Stamp Travel 554.93 <br /> 419 Food Stamp Retirement & FICA 176.99 <br /> 420 Group Insurance & Workmen's Compensation 3.~795..10 <br /> <br /> TOTAL UNEXPENDED AND EXCESS FUNDS $22,099.73 (T) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, expenditures for the following Public Assistance accounts <br />have exceeded the budget appropriations in the 1973-74 Annual Operating <br />Budget in the amounts as shown: <br /> <br /> GENERAL ASSISTANCE, HOSPITALIZATION & MEDICAID <br /> 435 General Assistance $12,897.09 <br /> 447 Aid to Aged 8.~011.04 <br /> <br /> TOTA~ OVER - EXPENDED ACCOUNTS $20,908.13 (T) <br />and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the budgeted appropriations for the following Public <br />Assistance accounts show unexpended and excess funds in at least the amounts <br />as shown: <br /> <br /> GENERAL ASSISTA~NCE, HOSPITALIZATION & MEDICAID <br /> 436 Hospitalization & Medicaid $~0~908.13 (T) <br /> <br /> TOTAL UNEXPENDED AND EXCESS FUNDS $20,908.13 <br />and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, necessary adjustment can be made to the foregoing appropriati.ons <br />without the need of increasing the overall 1973-74 Public Assistance Annual <br />Operating Budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County Administrator is authorized and instructed to <br />make the necessary transferrance of funds from those accounts that are <br />unexpended to those accounts that are over-expended. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ORDAINED AND DECREED by the Board <br />of County Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section 1.
